Fair Share Fees and Operating Expenses
MARCHING BAND: $75 (due by first day of school)
WIND ENSEMBLE: $50 per semester (due by last day of semester)
Send an email to our treasurer if you would like to use your band account money to pay your fees. mcnaryhsbandtreasurer at gmail dot com
Fair Share Fees help us to close the revenue/expense gap in years that our Fireworks Sale and Band Day Fundraiser don't meet the projected expenses of the year. Here are the kinds of things the boosters spend money on each year:
WIND ENSEMBLE:
Weekly sectional coaching
Spring retreat (we do not charge families for this - it's free)
Festival registration fees
Buses to festivals
Sheet music and adjudicator scores (can be more than $500 for one piece of music)
Uniform cleaning and replacement
Awards
Instrument repairs and purchases
Food
Special Projects (i.e. 2023 Composer commission)
MARCHING BAND:
Camp and Season staff
Drill design
Camp supplies and food
Music purchase
Ultimate Drill Book subscription
Clinic fee
Show shirts
Iris Parade Shirts (middle school)
Glow Show and Light Parade supplies
Awards
Field Striping Paint
Instrument repairs and purchases
Food
Special Projects (i.e. 2024 Drum Major podium)
Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Percussion Ensemble are all supported by the boosters as well, however the financial requirements of those classes are quiet a bit smaller than Wind Ensemble and Marching Band, so we are not asking for fees from students in these classes.
