Instructions for alumni participation in Homecoming
1. Print out the music here. Please also fill out this Google Form (voluntary but appreciated) with some additional info to help us promote our program and highlight our alumni.
2. Come to the game with your instrument and wear red and/or black.
3. Game starts at 7:00. Feel free to sit with the band with your instrument and play pep tunes with us. Please sit on the edges, try avoid standing in the front of the band even if you are 100% sure that you are our favorite alum!
4. When the band lines up in block for half time, form a block behind the band and circle the track with us.
5. Wait with the band on the backfield. You will march out in two step spacing (left to right), and stand four steps in front of the back sideline for the show centered on the 50.
6. Two step spacing results in dots on the yard lines plus two dots in between each yard line. If we have more than 37 people we will form a second line of alumni four steps behind the first.
7. The band will be playing and moving to the chart, you will not be in their way. Play with us and have fun. If you are totally rusty and can't remember how to play a single note on your instrument, just hold it and look pretty! I just want to see lots and lots of alumni on the FIELD for this game. Coming to the homecoming game and sitting in the stands is lame.
8. If the band starts to dance, do a little freestyle with them if you want.
9. Yes, you will have to buy a ticket to the game, you wont be able to march in with the band. I'm sorry, I don't make the rules. :(
10. No, I don't generally have instruments for you to borrow. Bring a tambourine, some shakers, or an old broken instrument if you have to!
11. E-mail me if you have any questions: [email protected]
